The CLLA (Commercial Law League of America) Collection Agency Certification Program was started in 1972 to serve the business credit community.
The Commercial Collection Agency Association was formed as a section of the CLLA to oversee that program and insure the program met its goals in serving the business credit grantor.
As a continuation of that dedication to service, CCAA members have taken an additional step by having their collection and sales staffs undergo a rigorous certification program. The Certified Collection Professional is a rigorous program that employees of CLLA certified agencies undertake. It covers all aspects of the laws that govern collection activity.
